St Paul’s Girls’ School is seeking two experienced General Maintenance Operatives.
We are undergoing a significant estates development programme, the first phase of which has been completed with a new sixth form and classroom building, drama studio and a new sports pavilion. We have now commenced phase 2 of the programme which extends over the next four years. This is therefore an exciting time to join the team and contribute to the projects to ensure that school requirements and the site’s capability work in harmony.
Essential:
- General understanding of building maintenance and repairs
- Recognised trade qualification or proven time-based experience in Painting & Decorating
- Able to use a variety of hand and electric tools to a high standard and safely
- Good communication skills including able to use a hand-held radio
- Experience of liaising with external contractors and service providers
- The ability to work well both as part of a team and independently
- A logical approach to solving problems
Desirable:
- CSCS Card or Equivalent Skills Card
- PASMA & IPAF
- Pool Operator Licence
- Experience of working in the education sector
